Training and Consultation
Supporting teams, carers, and professionals to work with empathy, connection, and trauma-informed confidence.

About This Service

I offer a range of bespoke training and consultation packages for professionals, carers, and agencies who support children and families affected by trauma, loss, and attachment disruption.
Training is designed to be warm, reflective, and grounded in real-world practice — helping participants to not only understand trauma and attachment theory but to apply these principles confidently in their daily work.

Training Topics Include

•Nurturing Attachments — a structured programme developed by Kim Golding, offering carers and professionals a framework for therapeutic caregiving based on PACE principles.

•Introduction to Trauma and Attachment — understanding how early experiences shape behaviour, regulation, and relationships.
•Therapeutic Parenting Approaches — practical strategies for supporting children through connection, safety, and empathy.•Life Story Work and Identity — helping children make sense of their past and build coherent life narratives.
•Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) Principles — supporting parents and carers to stay calm and connected in the face of challenging behaviour.
•Reflective Practice for Professionals — promoting resilience, empathy, and trauma-informed supervision within teams.Training content can be tailored to your organisation’s specific needs, whether for small groups, multi-agency teams, or fostering/adoption panels.

Consultation and Professional Support
Alongside training, I provide consultation to agencies, schools, and professional networks seeking to embed trauma-informed, relationship-based practice within their settings.Consultation may involve:

•Case discussions and reflective formulation.
•Support for staff teams managing secondary trauma or compassion fatigue.
•Guidance on embedding attachment-informed frameworks in organisational policy and culture.
My Approach

•Interactive: Sessions are discussion-based, experiential, and accessible to a range of learning styles.
•Grounded in Practice: Drawing on lived examples from adoption, fostering, and therapeutic work
•Emotionally Containing: Creating a space where participants can reflect, learn, and feel supported.
•Informed by Evidence: Integrating theory with current best practice across DDP, IAFT, TLSW, NVR, and trauma-informed care.
