Our Services
At HJ Trauma Support, I offer a range of therapeutic and professional services designed to help children, families, and practitioners build understanding, strengthen relationships, and support emotional healing.
Each service is trauma-informed, relationship-focused, and tailored to meet the individual needs of those I work with.
Therapeutic Support for Children & Families
Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)
A therapeutic approach that helps children and parents or carers connect, communicate, and heal together. DDP uses the principles of Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy (PACE) to support emotional safety and strengthen attachment.
Integrative Attachment Family Therapy (IAFT)
Integrating attachment theory, family systems thinking, and neuroscience, IAFT supports families to understand behaviour through an attachment lens and create positive change in their relationships.

Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) TLSW helps children make sense of their past, understand their journey, and develop a coherent sense of identity. Sessions explore memories, experiences, and emotions in a safe, creative, and structured way.
Therapeutic Parenting Coaching
Supporting parents and carers to understand their child’s behaviour, develop therapeutic responses, and maintain connection during moments of challenge. Coaching is reflective, practical, and rooted in trauma-informed principles.
Non-Violent Resistance (NVR)
A parent-centred approach helping carers respond to challenging or harmful behaviour in calm, non-reactive ways. NVR builds parental presence, strengthens support networks, and reduces conflict through relational repair.
Professional & Independent Social Work Services
Supervision and Reflective Practice.
Providing structured, supportive supervision for social workers, therapeutic practitioners, and professionals working within trauma, fostering, and adoption contexts. Sessions focus on reflection, emotional containment, and professional growth.
Independent Social Work Assessments.
Experienced in undertaking Form F Assessments, Adoption Assessments, and reports for fostering and adoption panels. All assessments are carried out with sensitivity, clarity, and a focus on relational dynamics and children’s needs.
Training and Consultation
Offering bespoke training and consultation to teams, agencies, and carers. Topics include trauma-informed care, attachment, therapeutic parenting, and the Nurturing Attachments model.
Session Options
I offer both in-person sessions at my therapy room in Hampshire and virtual sessions nationwide, providing flexibility to meet your needs. Sessions can be funded privately or, where applicable, through the Adoption and Special Guardian Support Fund (ASGSF).
